Here are our easy step-by-step instructions on how to make a notebook from scratch no matter your ability or preferred design program.

Whether you want a glossy cover, a smooth matt front and back, or plain or lined inners, you’ll pay the same price. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly notebook printing option, your best choice would be to go smaller with an A5 notebook.

What Are Notebooks Made Of?
The inside pages of your notebooks will be a 90gsm uncoated paper. This is a thin paper that’s really easy to write on with any kind of pen or pencil, however, the felt tip may run through.
The printed covers are 350gsm silk, which is a thick card-like stock that helps keep the inside pages protected. You’ll be asked to choose a lamination – which is a special coating that goes on top of the silk stock and gives it a specific feel as well as adding extra protection. Matt has a smooth, shine-free finish, whereas gloss is sleek and high-shine.
These are wire-bound notebooks, meaning holes are punched into the side and a silver-coloured coil is fed through the holes to bind the pages together.
How Many Pages Are in a Notebook?
We will always include 100 pages, including your cover designs, in your notebooks, giving you plenty of room to write, scribble notes, doodle, and more! Choose between lined or plain inside pages and we’ll print those for you, no design required.
Are Notebooks VAT-Rated?
As you write in them, notebooks are VAT-rated. This means you’ll need to pay an extra 20% of the total cost. At the printing house, we like to be as transparent as possible, so we’ll automatically add this charge for you in your basket.
